Let's get together for a trip down the Santa Fe River to Ginnie Springs. We can dip into the Devil's Eye and blast out his Ear, then drift down and explore the ballroom. If conditions are favorable we can dive the river or search for shark teeth. I'm considering either Saturday 10/19 or Sunday 10/20 and want input as to which date is preferable.

In case you didn't see this! Reply here if you're interested in going:

Hello, my name is Shawn. I'm a 41-yr-old NAUI-certified "Advanced" diver with about 100 dives, mostly in local caverns.

I'm planning to do a scuba dive trip to the Santa Fe River, Saturday Sept 7 2013, from Rum Island to #47 bridge. I plan to take one or two of my canoes (I have room for others) and paddle down to Ginnie Springs and dive the Devil's Ear and Devil's Eye (no fee required when diving from the river), and then the drift to the Ballroom , then paddle/dive down to awaiting vehicle at bridge #47.

A new interest for me is fossils. I want to search for fossils in the Santa Fe River. I've done so recently and found some neat little things. I can hardly wait to search again.

Please help us build up this group by sharing with other scuba diving friends. The more people we have, the more opportunities for some great dives! Also, be sure to let us know when/where you're planning your next dive so maybe others can come too!

Hey there... I'm an admin on this site and happen to be out of town for a couple weeks but wanted to welcome our new members. All members are free to make posts in regard to diving or if they'd like to plan a dive and need a buddy. We haven't really planned any "group" events although that's not out of the realm of possibility. Eddy... we're open to any level of certification. I know we have a few cave divers but I think most are open water.

March 31: Global explorer Josh Bernstein joined a group of divers who wanted to find unexplored caves and they found ancient artifacts, including a ceramic vessel that may have been underwater for 1,800 years.

Glad to see we're getting some more members! Let us know a little about yourself... How long have you been diving? How often do you dive? Favorite dive spots? Looking for a buddy? And whatever else you can think of!
