Our great student group from California enjoyed another full day of adventures for their 8th grade trip to Washington, DC with Potomac Tours! They started at the Air Force Memorial and visited the Marine Corp Memorial (Iwo Jima) before entering Arlington National Cemetery. While in Arlington they took advantage of an open itinerary to visit the Women in Military Service for America Memorial and the graves of both Presidents, William H. Taft and John F. Kennedy. They also climbed the hill to enjoy the view from Arlington House that President Kennedy said was "so beautiful, he could stay here forever." They learned about Selina Gray and her contributions to our country and paid their respects at the Tomb of the Unknowns. They also participated in an Army Wreath Laying Ceremony. After visiting the Natural History and American History Museums of the Smithsonian Institution, they ventured to Baltimore, MD for an evening of fun and a game at Camden Yards. A full day indeed.
