Nestled in the heart of beautiful Galax, Virginia, we’re turning Labor Day Weekend into a full-on celebration of everything we love about the season — BBQ that melts in your mouth, smooth pours of bourbon, friendly rounds of golf, and laughter echoing through the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Poker Run - $5.00 per person
Kick off the weekend with our Poker Run on Friday, August 29th at 4pm!
Join us for a fun, low-stakes adventure where you'll travel from stop to stop, collect your cards, have a small appetizer and drink at each stop, then see who ends up with the winning hand. It's a great way to meet new friends, enjoy the evening and start the weekend's events with some laughs and prizes.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 30th – 9:30 AM
Our Par 3 Golf Tournament - $10.00 per person
Grab your clubs and get ready for a morning on the greens! Our Par 3 Golf Tournament is all about fun, friendly competition, and soaking up the beautiful Blue Ridge scenery.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just here for laughter, this casual tournament is open to everyone. Tee off for a chance at prizes, bragging rights, and plenty of good-natured ribbing as you work your way through our scenic resort course.
It’s the perfect way to kick off your Saturday — a little fresh air, a lot of laughs, and maybe even a victory photo for the clubhouse wall.

Music Bingo with a Live DJ! - $10 for 5 game entries.

The 2nd Annual Bourbon Tasting & Pork Butt Competition
• Think you’ve got the best pork butt in town? Bring your finest (no sauce) BBQ masterpiece and compete for ultimate bragging rights and BBQ glory!
Competition rules will be shared so everyone knows the playing field.
• Not up for competing? No problem — just bring your appetite! For only $15 per person, enjoy a full spread of mouthwatering BBQ and sides, without lifting a finger.
• Sip and savor your way through a lineup of bourbons, whiskeys, and ryes — all available for free tastings throughout the evening.
• Kick back with live music by The Little Things Duo starting at 4 PM, filling the air with tunes while you mingle, taste, and toast.

Come HIKE with Deer Creek Motorcoach Resort and Kailey White, the co-founder of Military Wild. Kailey will be providing a guided hike showcasing the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains with an emphasis on accessibility and enjoyment.

The Twin Pinnacles trail is a gentle trail that takes you to the highest point in Grayson Highlands State Park. Twin Pinnacles is a very short hike. The views from each of the Pinnacles are spectacular. The hike will include trail tips, plant identification with a focus on purpose and beauty, animals in the wild, and the importance of forest resiliency.
