On 4/29, I won the judges choice award for Galveston Island, in a competition like Shark Tank, called “Life is a Pitch”, hosted by the Economic Development Corporation in partnership with Vision Galveston! I pitched along with several local business owners and entrepreneurs. We pitched our ideas and presented our businesses for a chance to win money to invest in our businesses. And we graduated from the Mortar program, a 15 week entrepreneurial academy in which we learned business fundamentals, marketing, financial literacy, and legal basics. Special thanks to my friends who supported me thru this process.
