Take a walk down West Market district and have a cup of coffee next to La Calavera, a turtle sculpture from the Turtles About Town project that aims to raise awareness of the plight of the Kemp's Ridley sea turtle. The Dia de los Mu***os theme of La Calavera by artist Mary Ruth Brown depicts some of the main causes of sea turtle mortality. This work of art is right in front of Red Light Coffee Roasters

Take a stroll from The Cruise Stop to Postoffice Street and say hello to Sundae, one of the turtle sculptures of Turtles About Town that aims to raise awareness about the Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtles on the Texas coast. She’s right in front of Hey Mikey’s, a popular ice cream spot in downtown Galveston.
