⛳️🌊 Exciting news for southern humboldt in Shelter Cove!

We’re excited to introduce Second Sundays at Shelter Cove Golf Links—a relaxed way to experience one of the Lost Coast’s most unique courses!

Shelter Cove Golf Links is a 9-hole course with sweeping ocean views and a layout you won’t find anywhere else—including its close proximity to the local airstrip (yes, you might even see a small plane come in while you’re playing). It’s all part of what makes a round out here feel a little more adventurous and distinctly Shelter Cove.

Each Second Sunday, Shelter Cove Adventure Rentals will be out on the course with their mobile cart—serving cold beer from Gyppo Ale Mill, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks from Surf Point Coffee House. It’s a rolling refreshment stop designed to keep you fueled while supporting local.

A quick local guide while you’re here:
Gyppo Ale Mill is located right on the 9th hole of the course, directly next door to the Shelter Cove Campground—an easy stop before, during, or after your round.
Surf Point Coffee House sits along Surf Point Road with ocean views, known for coffee, quick bites, and a relaxed coastal setting.

Shelter Cove Adventure Rentals is new to the area, offering golf cart rentals for the course along with e-bikes, surfboards, paddle boards, and wetsuits—making it easy to explore both on and off the links.

We recommend reserving your golf cart ahead of time through Shelter Cove Adventure Rentals so you can cruise the course at your own pace.

Come out, play a round, enjoy a drink, and spend the day supporting the local businesses that make the Lost Coast what it is.

This beautiful new shop, created by Kelsey and Alasya Stillwell, features an incredible collection of locally handmade goods, from art, candles, and decor to hats, leather bags, blankets, and so much more.
It’s truly a celebration of the creativity that makes our community so special.

Even better, they’re creating a space for workshops, night markets, and gatherings that bring our community together and help local makers shine. 🌿🎨

The new EV ChargePoint station is officially open at 412 Maple Lane, right behind the future home in Garberville SoHum Optometry, and right across from Eel River Café, so you can enjoy a great meal while your car is charging! ☕🍳
