So on Friday I had posted this photo of the Burbon Lodge in Burbon, Missouri. But, while I was there, I walked across the street and visited with Mark who had grown up at this location.He shared stories of going into the bar, with his dad, when he was younger and getting a soda pop and candy bar. He also told me that he had an old photo of The lodge and would share it with me (when he found) and here it is. Thank you Mark.

This morning, Karen and I were entertained by Jess McEntire at the Munger Moss Motel gift shop. Turns out Jess grew up in Braidwood, Illinois . We had a great visit and he has a 24/7 streaming of music on Munger Moss Radio (check it out)

This cool little water park in Sullivan, MO, on Rt 66 gave Karen a place to cool down from the 96 degree temperature yesterday.

More great things to see and people to visit with. A special thanks to Kerry for letting me know about the festival in Phillpsburg today (what a fun time). Kerry is a board member of the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society and has been following me since her stop at The Shop a couple of years ago.

So today Karen and I traveled on Rt66 for 7 1/2 hours from Eureka, MO to Saint Roberts, MO. That was about 106 miles.
First stop I put into my GPS was the Eureka visitor's center (please note my first photo for where it took us. And another couple stopped in while we were there). The following are photos from Pacific, Gray Summit, Villa Ridge. Saint Claire, Sullivan, Burbon, Cuba and Saint Roberts, Missouri. It's great to meet everyone along the Route. Especially meeting Wendy and Ed who stopped by The Shop a few days ago and then running into them twice today.
