Halloween week is creeping up on Carson Valley! 🎃🍂

Start your weekend early with Fab Thirstdays at The Pink House on Thursday, or catch the pay-what-you-can performance of CVCT’s Morning’s At Seven that night. This is the play’s final weekend, so grab your tickets before it closes Sunday! 🎭 On Saturday, suit up for the Monsters, Miles, and Miracles 5K Costume Run, meet the artists at the Suzy Musil & Jan Rollenhagen reception at Copeland Gallery, or let the kids whip up Halloween treats at Sierra Chef. 👻 Hockey fans, the Tahoe Knight Monsters take on the New Mexico Goatheads all weekend long! 🏒 And there’s just one week left to visit the Corley Ranch Harvest Festival & Pumpkin Patch.

There’s more than one way to do Carson Valley. Today’s way: wild horses, up close, with a local guide who knows where to find them. If you’re the type who’d rather watch a herd than a screen, this one’s yours.

We mean it in the nicest possible way. Carson Valley has 66 miles of trails, which means there’s a whole lot of the Valley you’ll never see through a windshield. Around here, getting a little dirt on your shoes is usually a sign you’re doing it right. So, respectfully, take a hike. 😉

SkyFest weekend is almost here in Carson Valley! ✈️🍂

Kick things off today at 4 PM with the final Wind Down Wednesday of the year at Heritage Park. Then catch the Minden-Tahoe SkyFest at the Minden-Tahoe Airport Oct. 16-18, shop the Magic Under the Moonlight pop-up at Eddy Street Market, lace up for the Paint it Pink 5K on Saturday, or take a dip at Haunted Pool Night. 👻 And don’t forget the Corley Ranch Harvest Festival & Pumpkin Patch is open every day through Halloween! 🎃

We can’t believe we’re saying this either. Our mountains usually have main event energy. But this weekend, October 16–18, Minden-Tahoe SkyFest is giving them some serious competition.

Come to Carson Valley, look up, stay awhile, and try not to feel guilty about ignoring the Carson Range for a minute. They’ll get over it.
