The fish are biting… and so is the excitement! 🐟

The Douglas County Kids' Fishing Derby splashes back into Lampe Park June 6 & 7 for a weekend full of first catches, fish tales, and family fun. Young anglers ages 3–12 can enjoy a free fishing experience along Willow Creek complete with gear, prizes, and plenty of smiles.

From special tagged fish to “largest catch” bragging rights, there’s plenty on the line this year.

The 116th Annual Carson Valley Days Festival returns June 11–14 from the Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club #85, bringing generations together for a weekend packed with hometown fun, familiar faces, and memories in the making. This year’s theme: “250 Years of Freedom.”

From the famous parade rolling through Minden and Gardnerville to carnival lights at Lampe Park, live music, fair food, craft vendors, kids games, tournaments, and those can’t-miss summer-night moments… Carson Valley Days has a way of making everyone feel like a kid again.

For more than a century, this celebration has brought the community together—and every year adds a few more stories to the tradition.
