This past week, I had the opportunity to travel to California for work, and while I’ll be sharing more from the trip in the coming days and weeks, I wanted to start with what was easily one of the most impactful experiences of the journey.

🌲 Muir Woods.

I’ve visited a lot of places over the years, but there’s something special about standing among giant redwoods that have been growing for hundreds of years. I timed my visit for golden hour, and as the sunlight filtered through the trees, I found myself doing something I rarely do…

Nothing.

No phone. No talking. No rushing to the next thing.

Just listening.

The birds overhead, the wind moving through the trees, and the streams flowing through the forest created a peace that is difficult to describe. For most of my visit, I was completely quiet, simply taking in the magnitude of what surrounded me.

Moments like this remind me why I love to travel. Not just to see new places, but to experience them. To slow down. To reflect. To appreciate the incredible world God has created.

Some of these trees have stood here for more than 600 years. One of my favorite stops was the Bicentennial Tree, dedicated in 1976 for America’s 200th birthday. This particular tree began its life around the same time our nation began its own journey, making it especially meaningful to visit during America’s 250th year.

🇺🇸 How incredible is it that this tree has witnessed the entire story of our nation?

This is just the beginning of sharing this California adventure. More photos, stories, and a full vlog are coming soon, but I wanted to share a few images from an evening that left a lasting impression on me.

🚨 NEW VLOG ALERT! 🚨

Can you visit all FOUR Walt Disney World parks in a single day? We decided to find out! 🏰🌳🎬🌐

As soon as we stepped off Star of the Seas, we headed straight to Walt Disney World to take on the ultimate 4 Parks in 1 Day Challenge! From riding Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, to dropping into Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, exploring EPCOT, and finishing the day at Magic Kingdom, this was one unforgettable adventure.

Along the way, we enjoyed plenty of Disney snacks 🍿🍦, got a special ride down Main Street U.S.A., and even celebrated our accomplishment with a castle photo before wrapping up the trip with Earl of Sandwich.

This was the perfect ending to an amazing parents' getaway, and we're excited to share the highlights with you!

It’s been a while since this adventure, but we finally have the last vlog in our Star of the Seas series up on YouTube! 🚢🎉

For our final full day onboard, we kept things relaxed with some friendly mini golf competition, explored more of the ship, searched for Sailor, and made sure to enjoy a few final favorite bites before heading home.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect on the heroes who gave everything for our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙
