Adventures Day 4-5:

Relaxing day on the Coral Sea followed by reimagining our day at Airlie Beach due to a canceled snorkel of the Great Barrier Reef. We walked the quaint town and found birds in the wild we had only previously seen in captivity. That was mind-blowing!

Adventures Day 3:
We became time travelers as we flew over the Pacific Ocean, crossed the Equator, and changed hemispheres! 15 hour flight later, we landed a day and a half ahead 🤔 We made it to she ship and settled in for a 10 day cruise of the coast of Australia!

Adventures Day 2:
After a great chat with the bellmen at the Westin LAX, we set up a private tour of Los Angeles with VIP Tours. We saw some amazing tourist spots, ate some AMAZING mash potato tacos, learned about the area, and topped our day off on Venice Beach. Back to LAX and we finally became time travelers!

Aventures Day 1:
Our group of 11 left from their home airports and we arrived at LAX for the start of our Great Australia Adventure! Delta had other plans for us, though, and decided that we needed to actually spend some time exploring Los Angeles. After a phone call to reschedule 11 people (of the 350 the Delta affected), a wait to speak to the ground agents, and some other arrangements later, we were off to the Westin Los Angeles to rest and restart!

⭐️STAR ID⭐️ DEADLINE APPROACHING

ALEA’s Driver License Division wants to remind everyone the deadline to obtain the STAR ID is May 7, 2025. STAR IDs will still be available for issuance after May 7 at an ALEA Examining Office.

Every air traveler will need a REAL ID compliant license/ID (STAR ID) or another form of identification for domestic air travel after this date. See TSA’s website for a full list of acceptable identification for domestic air travel.

Driver's licenses with the STAR ID can be obtained at the Driver's License office in the Coffee County Complex in New Brockton Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 am-noon and 1-4 pm. You can also obtain a STAR ID license at the Alabama State Trooper Office, 5679 Montgomery Hwy, Dothan, Monday through Friday from 8 am-4:30 p.m. An appointment is recommended at either place to avoid waiting in line. Call the Coffee County Office at (334) 894-5218 or the Trooper Office at (334) 983-5616 to make an appointment.
