If you have hunted or spent any time at all in South Texas, you have more than likely heard of the Rhode Ranch of McMullen County. The ranch was established in 1901 and ever since has been legendary in its ability to year in and year out grow some of the largest whitetail bucks in the entire state. Now that is very "limited" access! The owners have practiced a h

igh degree of land stewardship always trying to improve the native habitat to best suit the needs of the wildlife, as well as, for prime cattle grazing. Having extremely large game managed neighbors, fantastic vegetation, excellent amounts of all types of game, and possibly the best native whitetail genetics found anywhere make this 9,000 acre pasture of Rhode Ranch the absolute best hunting ranch around

Congrats to client Sam on catching his personal best trout on a lure and in August!! He used a “Nuke Juice” Coastal Brew Dart during a hot day and slick calm waters! We found a load of bait and just as the water gained a ripple on the surface he capitalized on our best fish of the day!!

Always a big fan of down sizing your lure during extremely calm days like we have faced this week!

Please note I have this Thursday Aug 21st Open…and January 2026 is now open!!

All trips are wade fishing with lures only!
