The Gateway Visitor Center was proud to host Governor Jared Polis, along with representatives of our state legislature, first responder community, CDOT, Clear Creek County and Georgetown government officials, along with state and community leaders to sign important legislation to improve living conditions and safety along the I-70 corridor.

It was an honor to host this important event at the state's busiest visitor center, which is a private-public partnership that welcomes approximately half a million visitors per year to the region. These legislative efforts are important to the quality of life and safety of our mountain communities as well as the traveling public.

Mountain Jams is on this weekend Sep 7 with Dakota Blonde. FREE from 2-3.30 at Library Stage Park in Georgetown Colorado.
Dakota Blonde is one of the most unique acoustic sounds around! Their combination of original tunes and carefully selected covers, along with their endearing stage presence and humor is out of this world!
Their musical sound is hard to classify, but best put, they are acoustic folk, part bluegrass, part acoustic rock, part singer/songwriter, and sometimes even Celtic! They are a unique blend of heart, authenticity and contagious spirit! Their acoustic sound is like no other, with such tightly blended harmonies that you would swear they were born to sing together!
You just have to experience a Dakota Blonde show to know what you’ve been missing!

Come to the Old School (formerly the Georgetown Heritage Center) to enjoy great art that was painted ‘en plein air,” or on the spot in open air for the rest of us. These vetted artists spent two days creating works in differing media in eclectic styles to bring wonderful paintings of the Georgetown Silver Plume Historic Landmark District for us to enjoy. We only have a week left for these great works. Enjoy the art, see the Old School, and you might even find something for your home or a friend’s house.
