Ugh, Antiquities theft from Georgetown!! Apparently, someone stole one of the historic statues from the Hotel de Paris Museum's Odd Hostelry:Odd Hostouter building. It is a cherub. Good morning,
Can you add this blurb to the newsletter including the two photographs I have attached:
The Georgetown Police received information of a theft that occurred at the Hotel de Paris. A statue was stolen from the southwest corner of the building. An investigation revealed that one or more suspects accessed the roof on the south side which allowed them access to the statue positioned on the wall. The statue is a Putti with pan (resembles a bird bath) by J.L. Mott Iron Works of New York, circa 1890. The statue is approximately 36 to 40 inches tall and weighs approximately 40 pounds (See attached photographs of an identical statue).
