Cult of the Magic Lady

Cult of the Magic Lady Once a neighborhood, now a theme camp, Cult of the Magic Lady contains attractions for any burner. Magic Lady herself is of course our mascot.

The Parched Koi lounge offers morning danishes (with shameful stories) as well as couches, paintings, and other classy ways to rest your weary feet. Space Tofu offers vegan, gluten free tofu in a variety of flavors (such as Rentry and Sparkle Pony Bacon), all with a space theme. Foxy Kokonaut provides a cool structure to hang out in, along with cooling massages (complete with misting fans) in the late mornings and hammocks for the rest of the time. The Black Rock Self Service Abortion Clinic has been your one stop fetus eating shop for years, for all those times you've felt the need to eat one. Remember their motto: we bring out the kid in you! And finally there's the Back Alley Movie Theater, providing quality movies on comfy couches to all who need to kick back and watch something nice. Popcorn is provided. For those looking to join, we only offer membership to people who know us personally. If you do, come ask about it... if you don't, feel free to visit us on playa and say hello!

For those who've just watched the campfire talks and are interested in CotML, we are a SF Bay Area based theme camp focused primarily on a relaxed and fun burn with very silly art projects and micro theater presentations.

Also we're kind of insane.

Campfire Talks Season 5, Episode 2: Leadership Styles

Join seasoned theme camp organizers as they share their leadership journeys, from defining their style and core values to overcoming challenges and incorporating feedback. This session will explore what it means to have a leadership style—whether it’s servant, collaborative, or transformational—and how different approaches impact team dynamics, camp culture, and personal growth. Whether you’re a veteran TCO or stepping into the role for the first time, this discussion offers valuable insights for everyone.

Another year down! Thanks to all who swung by. This year was the grand opening of Meats and Beats, where we provided tasty meat (and music) to a solid sized crowd. Our Broman Catholic Church was bigger than ever this year. And for the first time, we had kids in camp this year, with their own play space (ball pit and bubbles!).

This year featured some of the best playa weather in recent memory, too!

Burner Map is live! And yes, we're on there.

Tracking down friends in Black Rock City used to be harder than cleaning playa dust out of gold-sequined b***y shorts. Now you can share your camp location, ask your friends to do the same, then print and pack your playa map along with your goggles, glowsticks, and Grandma Glitter's Homestyle Gamma....

Cult of the Magic Lady's back at 7:15-Captivate this year!

Schedule of events:

3pm-5pm Monday, Twitter Hot Takes! It's like internet arguing, but now with megaphones and booze, and with the weirdest possible debates.

7pm Monday and Wednesday, Meats and Beats! Come for the meats, stay for the nice beats, and eat your fill.

7:30am-9:30am Tuesday through Thursday, Danish of Shame! What better snack on your walk of shame than a danish... pay us in shameful stories.

10am-11am Tuesday and Thursday, Broman Catholic Church Sermons! Learn the side of religion you didn't know, like how God shouldn't have been hitting the 'roids, and Abroham's workout routine. Now with new sermons!

3pm-5pm Tuesday, Cambrian Coloring! Join us and color in obscure animals from the past. Kid friendly!

And of course, all day every day, the Black Rock Abortion Clinic will be providing only the finest in tasty edible fetuses.

Also there's a library, a misting tent, and now a small kid play space!
