We renewed our passports a couple of months ago and it only took about a week from doing the renewal online to having it on our mailbox! Check your passport expirations. You can renew if it expires within one year. ✈️

Hilo Port Day 🌋 🚢 Kīlauea put on a 13-hour lava show yesterday, and we just missed it! 😢 This was the 11th eruptive episode since December, and even though the lava wasn’t flowing today, she was still steamy—vents hissing, heat radiating from the earth, and that unmistakable energy that makes this place feel alive.

Walking the Rim Trail at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park was absolutely unreal.

🚗 We rented a car for the day, which was a great way to beat the shuttle buses and have extra time to explore at our own pace. Stopped at Volcano House for those insane crater views, then wrapped up the day with a stop at Big Island Candies—because leaving Hilo without macadamia nut shortbread dipped in chocolate is just not an option. 🤤

Whether you go with a shore excursion or drive yourself, you’ll love this port stop. If you want to really immerse yourself, hop on a flight to have a better chance to see a fiery eruption. 🌋
