Great morning on the water with Matt & Bria for the start of Labor Day weekend. We ended the morning 10-11. Caught the first pink salmon of the year as well.

Great box yesterday with some matures mixed in. I still have some slots open up until September 10th reach out if you’d like to get on the action! Getting a good mixture of fish.

Bill and his family joined yesterday morning for a foggy day out on the water with visibility less than 100 yards. The fish were fired up and we ended 12-16!

I can’t stress the importance of having radar and a working radio on your boat in heavy fog in addition to learning and following rules of the road.

We encountered another small fishing boat fishing in the fog with neither and I tried my best to take evasive action. We came very close to tangling half our spread and passed within 25 yards of each other. Not to mentioned he turned port on me once he noticed me.

I’ve noticed too many boats this season not following rules of the road. If you are unsure of which direction you are suppose to go, please do some research! These are things you are required to know when operating a boat.

If you can’t navigate safely stay home!

Went for a scouting mission tonight for my weeks charters.

Apparently the walleyes were a bit more interested than the salmon. Will be interesting to see what we’ll bring in this week!

I have lots of evening availability with some morning availability left up until September 10th. Reach out if you’d like to get out in the meantime! The fishing is still good with younger salmon and some mature salmon mixed in and walleyes.

Kaylen & his sons joined this morning from Minnesota salmon fishing for the first time! It was chaos to start lost a couple nice ones and ended the morning 7-15.

Bruce & Nancy joined from Minnesota for an evening trip on Monday night. We got into some nice salmon and Nancy caught her very first salmon! She did a great job reeling in a couple!

Brian and his family joined this morning and got one of the best sunrises I’ve seen this summer in Door County! The fish were hungry as well with us ending 10-21!

Fast action last night I was able to sneak out Pete’s group for a quick evening run with storms rolling in. We ended 5-10 with some nice salmon hitting the deck. They were a fun group I hope I get to have them again when the weather cooperates!
