I’ve just returned from hosting a beautiful, intimate journey with a small circle of women in Morocco. Smaller than my usual groups—but we chose to go anyway. And I’m so deeply grateful we did.
At the end of our time together, one woman said something I’ll carry with me always:
“I am changed forever.”
That is why I do this.
I do it to gently encourage women to see the world—to offer that small spark of confidence that helps them begin… or begin again.
We stayed in a riad in southern Morocco, with a family who were once nomads. They’ve since made a life in a quiet village on the edge of the Sahara, far from the well-trodden paths. Life there is simple, grounded, and deeply human.
I first met this family eight and a half years ago, when I came for a volunteer exchange. Together, we helped transform their home into a place where travelers could be welcomed not as guests, but as part of their story—sharing meals, traditions, and daily life.
And that’s the kind of travel that changes you.
Because traveling may open your eyes…
but living, even briefly, alongside local people—sharing their rhythms, their stories, their way of being—can truly shift something in your soul.
