Have you ever wondered what there is to do near Mt. Baker in spring?
In spring we love to go visit Silver Lake! The birds are chirping, the lake is calm and quiet, the Bald Eagles are nesting and swooping down for food. There are Blue Heron’s, Beavers, tons of fish to watch through the crystal clear waters, and lots of tadpoles. It’s like a serene little nature paradise. SPRING BABIES

Every spring we head down to Silver Lake to check out the two beaver lodges and look for tadpoles. I did not see any tadpoles yesterday, but this lodge is looking good. We noticed one of the beaver dams has been opened back up, and while we didn’t see any actual beavers, there was evidence that they have been there recently. Maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of them next time. We did see Bald Eagles, and lots of Red Winged Blackbirds!

A little sneak peak of our up and coming Bakerside Martini Cabin.🍸 This 3 story spacious home is newly built with a huge awesome entry for all your snow or hiking gear. It has 3 rooms, 2 baths, and a lovely sun deck and hot tub. This little gem is located in Glacier and is among the closest lodging to the Mt. Baker Ski Area / Artist Point recreation area.
We are working on setting this place up now, so stay tuned for staging, photos, and a fresh new listing very soon!
