I’m suddenly - and without warning - obsessed with making these flowers. I’m on the hunt for looms and the crafting material, which was officially named Strawtex or Swistraw. I’ve also seen it called raffia, but it’s not really the same.

So, it’s spring and sales are starting to pop up all over the place. There was a community sale in the park where I live a couple weeks ago. I didn’t post photos of my haul since I’m spending every free second in the garden. Here’s a look at my stash.

The mosaic deer plate caught my eye from 50 paces. It’s by the same Danish maker as the dancing girls plate, which was my mom’s. It was a gift to her from her friend Carol, who was my favorite of my mom’s pals. I remember her smile so well. Carol also taught me how to tie my shoes. ❤️
