🚨 Attention Global Entry Users 🚨

Starting September 15, 2026 the current Global Entry app (and the older Trusted Traveler Programs app) will stop working. CBP is rolling out one new Trusted Traveler app that replaces both.

What you need to know:
✅ Your membership stays active — nothing about your status changes
✅ Your login info carries over — no need to reapply
✅ One app now covers Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, and FAST
✅ Mobile arrival processing keeps working the same way
⚠️ Download the new app before Sept 15 so you're not caught without it at the airport
⚠️ Only download through the official app store links — CBP is warning about scam apps popping up during this transition

If you use a kiosk or the camera/facial-recognition lanes at customs instead of the app, this change doesn't affect you at all.

After planning a number of Greece trips, people ask what actually goes into a multi-island Greece itinerary. It's not a list of the "best" or "most visited" islands, it's three things most people never see.

– Matching. Cyclades for iconic views and energy. Ionian for slow and green. Dodecanese for history. Crete as one home base. Saronic islands for short trips from Athens. The islands matter less than whether they match how you actually want to travel.

– Logistics. Ferry vs. flight, the meltemi winds, baggage limits, timed-entry tickets for the Acropolis and Knossos. The pieces that never make it onto a Pinterest board are the ones I plan around first.

– Local partnership. When a ferry or flight gets cancelled or an excursion needs rebooking, my partners in Greece don't start from zero — they've worked this coastline for years and know exactly who to call. The hotelier who picks up personally. The private transfer company owner they contact via personal cell numbers. Not a search bar. Not a hold queue. A real fix, real-time, backed by real relationships.

I think about this quote often, especially in a season where everyone is so busy just getting through their to do list. Some of my favorite trips I've planned didn't happen because life slowed down. They happened because someone decided life was too short to keep waiting for the "perfect time."

That's the whole idea behind WonderCrafted Travel. I don't just book trips, I craft them, around your life, your people, and the moments you actually want to remember. Travel isn't running away from your life. It's making sure you actually show up for it.

My youngest LOVES Funko Pops (it's one of her many "collections"). A few years back, we visited their store in Everett and made custom Funkos, because, are you really a fan if you don't have the custom version?!

My personal favorite sits in the middle of the bottom row, tucked toward the back. It's not my fave because I'm narcissistic, but because it's a good reminder that "Corporate Kristy" was an important part of me for 20 years. That said, my career didn't define me, it merely helped shape me.

Last spring, when I started this journey, it was meant to be something I built on the side. Then summer 2025 changed everything with a role elimination. For a full year, I doubted myself, and I debated whether small business ownership was really the right path, or if I should go back to corporate.

But after leaning in, I realized this is exactly where I need to be, doing exactly what I need to be doing. All those years of leadership, marketing, sales, and problem solving didn't disappear, they're exactly what make me the travel advisor I am today.

And someday, I know I'll be leading a team again, growing this into something bigger, when the time is right. That custom Funko isn't just a keepsake...it's proof that reinvention is possible, even when it doesn't look how you planned!

Three itineraries on my desk right now, and I am OBSESSED. 😍

I get to build trips for a living, and this week is a perfect reminder of why I love it so much. Here's what's currently making me giddy:

✈️ Rome, Tuscany & Florence — a wedding trip done right

This one is built around a dear friend's wedding in Tuscany, and every detail after that is just as special. We're talking private transfers between cities, luxury boutique hotels, a nighttime golf cart tour of Rome (with drinks, because why not), a hands-on pasta making class, and a day trip to Pompeii via high-speed train with a guide by their side the entire day. This is Italy done at exactly the right pace — beautiful, personal, and never rushed.

🗽 NYC Holiday Girls' Trip — mother, daughter, and friends

A mother-daughter trip with friends, centrally located so every plan is a short walk away. Holiday shopping, ice skating at the Bryant Park Winter Village, Broadway shows, the Rockettes, The Nutcracker, and a walking food tour through Hell's Kitchen. This is the kind of trip that becomes a core memory — and I got to build the whole thing around them.
