We are so excited to announce that the Blue Ridge Parkway is OPEN throughout Ashe County NC!! This includes the section from US-421 at Deep Gap near Boone through NC-16 closed for the past year for repaving AND the Laurel Fork bridge replacement in Laurel Springs by NC-18, which was closed for 3 long years. Now Parkway travelers can drive unimpeded from the VA/NC border (Mile Post 217) to US-221 interchange (Mile Post 317) by Linville Falls NC. These Parkway reopenings provide access to treasured stops such as Doughton Park & The Bluffs Restaurant, The Lump Overlook, and Jeffress Park and Cascade Falls.
The autumn leaves are nearing peak so come drive the beautiful reopened Blue Ridge Parkway and plan your stay at Haven at Greenwood Glen vacation rental cabins located at BRP Mile Post 256!
