What a pleasant Surprise, Midwest Machinery Co. in Glenwood,
stopped by with a bike for Kids Day. We now have 8 bikes. Thank you Midwest Machinery! Kids 17 and Under are invited to the 28th Annual Kids' Day on Saturday, June 7th. Kids must register and be accompanied by an adult. The drawing will take place at 12 Noon at the Glenwood City Park.

The Glenwood area is known as a community with a strong foundation of history, natural beauty, and hidden treasures. The Chamber is dedicated to our members and the communities we serve. We are proud to contribute to the overall success of the people, organizations, and businesses who call our area home!
The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber hosts two major fundraising events each year: The Chamber Cup Golf Tournament and the Battle of the Businesses Bowling Tournament. In addition, the Chamber strives to support our area businesses and organizations by hosting the Chamber Annual Meeting & Community Awards Luncheon each spring, and co-sponsors and organizes the Pope County Salute to Business & Industry Luncheon in the fall. The Chamber also has a hand in organizing both the Pope County Community Expo and Waterama Boardwalk Sales, as well as works with Andes Tower Hills and the Alexandria Blizzard to co-host reasonably priced, fun events for the community. The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber also has a strong Member of the Month program, promotes the use of Minnewaska Dollars to keep business local, and hosts Rise & Shine networking events monthly.
The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce strives to cultivate relationships with our members, businesses, organizations, and the community by providing opportunities, stimulating economic growth, and promoting the Glenwood area.
The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center is a 501(c)(3) organization that strives to market the Glenwood area as a year-round destination area. It’s overall vision and mission have been to serve the public in a variety of ways, and to showcase the Glenwood area lifestyle.
The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center is a core organizer for several FREE (or discounted) family-friendly events, including: Glenwood Day at Andes Tower Hills, Pope County Community Expo, Kids Day, Pope County Farmers Market, Indoor Community Halloween Trick or Treating, Magical Christmas Celebration, and more! The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center also offers a community conference & meeting room with an abundance of features for today’s style of meetings.
The Welcome Glenwood program is our opportunity to extend a warm, friendly welcome to new residents. We are happy to meet with anyone who has moved to this area in the past five years at the Chamber & Welcome Center, your place of employment, your home, or another location that makes you feel comfortable. Our mission is to help those who are new to the area feel welcome, be a resource, and help the best we can to transition you to into the Glenwood area. We will conduct a short visit and provide a packet of information and a gift bag for you to take home.
The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center is open to the public, with FREE information and materials about area businesses, vacation destinations and local events and attractions. Welcome Center staff work hard to create a “welcoming” atmosphere for visitors and residents alike.
