Galisteo Basin Preserve offers a magical desert landscape and 360 view (from Eliza Ridge) of various mountain ranges surrounding Santa Fe.
And the best part is that it is only 20 minutes away from Glorieta.

Thank you "The New Mexican". In today's paper we have just learned about Las Vegas National Refuge. In 30 something years it a first time we heard about it.
We love and usually go as millions of others to Bosque Del Apache near Socorro, but this one looks very cozy and inviting, but open just on Siundays in November to general public.
Here we go this Sunday to check it out!

We love David Salman's tips and tricks from his Waterwise Gardening Website. We do not w**d dandylions in the spring and we do not cut down or trim pereninals and shrubs in the fall. We leave them for the "autumn scenery" and birds and other creatures to nibble on them.
