My name is Cheyenne and I became interested in the travel industry after my 17 day adventure through Italy and Greece in 2015. I fell in love with Italy's food, landscapes, cliff-side cities and people. I grew up traveling the country in the backseat of a car with my family. I have my parents to thank for my sense of adventure, as well as my love of hiking and camping. I decided to pursue a career as a travel agent in January 2016 and have since then made it my full time job. I love helping people follow their dreams of traveling to a place they never thought they could, as well as help them escape the North Dakota winters and send them to a beautiful beach! I love learning about new destinations, trying new foods, traveling to places I've never been to, and photographing beautiful landscapes! This 5-Diamond adults-only resort takes the details seriously…especially in Preferred Club. You don’t have to be at this resort for long to see why. I didn’t even stay here, and I felt it as I walked the grounds and saw the property.

These days- I’m lucky if “office views” include my actual office for even a few hours a day!

For anyone that has a big age gap between kids, you get it! Mondays are one of our crazy days. Early out, cross country, and music means less hours in my office, and more hours on the road.

I’m thankful for a job that is flexible and lets me work from basically anywhere. And now I have a cute little sidekick to keep me company while I wait on big brother and big sister to do their activities.

Having a baby nearly 7 years after my other two was not in my plans. But God had a different one, and life sure is sweet with our little Cal in it!

I’m curious- do any of you come from a family with a big ol’ age gap? Or have a gap baby? I’m finding out that this is a lot more common than I realized! Tell me your gap in the comments!

🌺 The vibe: One of the things that stood out immediately at Dreams Flora is the stunning flora and fauna. Lush tropical landscaping, beautiful gardens and plenty of wildlife make this resort feel like a tropical oasis.

It’s also a great mid-size resort — you get many of the big-resort amenities without feeling like you need a map to find your room. 😂

✨ RESORT HIGHLIGHT: W Punta Cana ✨

If you like your Caribbean vacation with a little more WOW factor, the brand new W Punta Cana deserves a spot on your list. I was able to stay here with my dear friend, and we had the best girls trip.🌴✨

One of the things that immediately stood out to me? The rooms. Entry-level rooms start at a whopping 750 sq. ft.—and every room has a king bed, soaking tub AND rainfall shower. Getting a room with 2 beds? You guessed it… 2 king beds. Can you say girls trip!?👏

🌎 Buffet offerings inspired by different cuisines around the world

Fun events scheduled through the week! We took advantage of the spa turned night club event! Fun music, good drinks, and a hydrotherapy circuit. What more could a girl want?

One honest note: breakfast wasn’t a standout for me, but we stayed here very quickly after they opened, so this may have improved. However, there was plenty to love everywhere else.

W Punta Cana feels like someone took a luxury resort, turned up the volume, and added a little more personality. It’s stylish, spacious, playful, and definitely not your cookie-cutter all-inclusive resort. ✨🌴

🌴 RESORT HIGHLIGHT: Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana

I recently visited Dreams Macao Beach, and if you’re looking for a family-friendly resort with a LOT to do, this one deserves a look! 👏🏼 This property is only 6 years old, and the 2 bedroom villas are *chef’s kiss! 💋

💦 The waterpark (120cm+) is a major highlight with a lazy river, slides, zip line + climbing wall. Don’t forget to check out the taco truck at the waterpark. 🤤 There’s a kiddie waterpark for the little tikes too! I have a strict “no taking pictures of strangers kids” policy- so I only have far away photos of the waterpark.

🏊🏼‍♀️ There are 4 pools, including a main pool with a swim-up bar + infinity edge, kids’ pool, adults-only pool and a Preferred Club saltwater pool.

🏖️ The beach is a showstopper. Macao Beach is recognized by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and is typically seaweed-free.

👧🏼 Explorer’s Club is for ages 3–12, while teens 13–17 have their own space with NO adults allowed. 😉

🏄🏼 Surf lessons are available for an additional fee, and boogie boards are complimentary.

🎳 There’s also tennis, bowling, arcade games and plenty of activities to keep everyone moving.

My take: Dreams Macao is modern, beautiful, and a great fit for active families who want a gorgeous beach and plenty of entertainment without leaving the resort. And with four pools, a waterpark and dedicated spaces for kids and teens, there’s a pretty good chance everyone will find something they love. 🌴☀️

It’s officially time to start thinking about winter travel! ☀️❄️

Back in December, I toured 12 resorts in the Dominican Republic, and after months of letting all that research marinate… it’s finally time to share some favorites! 😍

Our sweetest new arrival, Callum, swept into the world on June 26th and stole our hearts completely. I’ve happily traded meetings for midnight snuggles, tiny yawns, and soaking up every precious newborn moment.

I’ll be taking a little time away to enjoy all the baby cuddles, but don’t worry- we’ve got you covered! Please continue to reach out via email. My amazing team is keeping a close eye on things and will make sure you’re well taken care of while I’m away.
