Okay, If you don't know, now you know. Saturday, 24 June 2017 will be the last race for The Wood under my management. The decision to close was a simple one. However the choice to close was extremely hard. All business thrive and survive on constant support, patronage and membership all year round. If it they don't have the fore mentioned, they close. Nuff said. I like to thank all those that supported the track and I in any way. Most recently, Jerry Billmyer and Hank Jarman for their efforts and attempts at reviving the the Carpet Road Course and the Asphalt tracks. Again, thanks. I will see you in a driver's stand somewhere.

2 Jun Track maintenance day. Doors open at 4 P.M.

3 Jun, Asphalt Oval / Road course racing at the Wood. Doors open at 10 A.M. Racing at 1 P.M.
Carpet track will be open for practice. Carpet oval racing will start at 6 P.M See event section for more details.

10 Jun 2017, No Racing schedule due Powerlifting event. Refer to event section for future events.

Try this again. Another great day on the asphalt Oval. We laid the loop and cover it and it worked like a champ. The most important project the day was getting the speakers hooked up and then it was go time. Once we where able to hear lap time, the search for speed was on. Hank Jarman and Jerry Billmyer set thier VTA chassis on the ground just on a thought and started out running 8.2s,8.3, and 8.4 by the end of the day, Hank was turning 7.7s.
Jerry's Grand National car started out running 6.6s and 6.7s. Before the sun went down, he manage to turn a 6.2, and and average 6.3s and 6.4s per lap and wore out is right front and rear tire to the "White Meat Show".
As far as my novak ballistic powered 17.5 Super Truck, we started the day with 8.6 and 8.7, with a 2.81 rollout six pinion teeth later and 3.29 rollout, it turns 8.2 and 8.3s. As we packed up shop, you smell the brain cell burning on how to get faster for next week.

Another good practice day down. Several dirt oval racer that came to set their chass up for some carpet oval. They even got some laps with a 21.5 pan car and was amazed how smooth the car handle in comparison. Several asphalt oval guy came to dail in their chassis. I even had time to dail in my asphalt oval truck.

1st Road couse point series race is
Saturday, 27 May 2017. Doors Open 10AM, rae at 1PM.

Carpet off road race start at 6PM.

Both asphalt track will be open for practice

Inclement weather planning for Saturday, 13 May 2012. Looks like we will have rain from 0700hrs - 1900hrs. if it rain, we will move the fun to the carpet.

It's capping time. Let's make capping great again!!! Both track will be ran. Asphalt road course is good and smooth. Jerry B. ran some laps with his VTA car on Friday past and commented on the good condition of the track.
