Another epic day in the Florida Keys! Candace had the eye on one of the clearest days I’ve seen all summer! Check out that awesome little cowrie with all the color! Beautiful tun shell, perfect queens with the mature lip! So many other great finds, a milk conch, hawks wings, vase shells, & of course biscuits!

All shells on our tours are taken unoccupied. Please practice ethical shelling. No animal should be killed just for a seashell in my opinion. Let’s go see what Mother Nature has to offer you!

What’s that I conch hear you!!! Check out the beautiful ear on this one! Queen conchs are a symbol of the Florida Keys! Federally protected these seashells need to be unoccupied to collect. In my opinion all seashells need to be empty before they join your collection.

There is magic happing out there in the water. Let’s go and get the trophy! 🏆 🐚

The Lightning Whelk (Busycon sinistrum) is one of the few marine gastropods with a left-handed, or sinistral spiral, a rare trait in the natural world! 🌪️🐚

Its logarithmic spiral follows a growth pattern often found in sacred geometry and Fibonacci sequences, making it not just a biological wonder, but a visual representation of mathematical beauty in nature.

Check out these stunners! I love milk conchs with purple lips and girls that love to find them! The wind has finally turned off and the water is the clearest I’ve seen all summer! Have a happy 4th of July weekend everyone!

The variety of seashells in the 10k islands is something that not many areas have. Pictured here is a sample of some of the shells you can find while out on tour.

The good finds just keep coming! Check out that tun shell and all these other beauties! It’s a water world out there that you could be in everyday and never see 1% of it! The diversity is amazing, discovering untouched areas is so much fun! We practice a no live shelling policy on our tours and try to leave areas better than we found them!

Loving all these cowries we are finding this summer! Check out this stunner! Growing up to 7.5 inches in length. The Atlantic Deer Cowrie is one of the largest cowries found in the Atlantic Ocean. Color features are a brown base with whitish spots on the shell resembling a young fawn, hence the name deer cowrie. Juvenile shells are initially banded, but lose the bands and developing spots as they mature.

Even though we are less than 90 miles away from our 10k Islands location it’s a whole different world of seashells down here! Mother Nature produces some amazing things! Let’s go she what she is producing for you!

Check out this beauty Britt scored on today’s tour! This partridge tun is one of the biggest and most pristine we have seen this summer! What shell would you love to find in the Florida Keys?!

Will someone please turn off this wind! 15-20 and more like 20mph everyday lately! We got seashells to find! Let’s go see what Mother Nature has to offer you! We collect only unoccupied shells 🐚😎

Another amazing tour! Tracy and her family got an epic haul in before this wind stirred the Atlantic up a bit! Check out that unique milk conch and some of the nicest queens we’ve seen this summer!

When the Atlantic has limited visibility the Gulf offers another option for us to find clear water and continue our search for seashells. This area gives us the opportunity to find other shells like some of the ones we find in the Ten Thousand Islands! Let’s go see what awaits just below the surface!
