Group trips are the best… until someone can't agree on dinner and the kids are bored by 10am. 🙃

After hosting plenty of multi-generational stays at Buck Court, we've noticed the trips that actually feel good all come down to three things. Swipe through for what works.

Five years ago, this dock, these blue chairs, and this stretch of Smith Mountain Lake became the backdrop for 314 families' best memories. 🌅

When opened Buck Court Lodge originally opened in 2021, they had one hope: that the place we loved would become a place other families loved too. Five summers later, with a 4.97-star average from every guest who's walked through the front door, we think that hope came true. And now, our family gets to continue that legacy with our guests

The traditions guests have built here still surprise us. Grandparents teaching grandkids to cast off the dock. Cousins claiming the same Adirondack chair year after year. Movie nights in the theater that somehow stretch until 2 a.m. Coffee on the covered pergola before anyone else is awake.

Summer 2026 is filling up fast, and we love that some families are coming back for their fifth year in a row. We also love meeting the new ones — the families who are about to make their first lake memory here, the ones whose kids will one day say, "remember the year we found Buck Court?"
