We have decided to give this page a rest and focus our postings from our personal pages. For some reason it's not reaching our family and friends the way we would like. If you would like to continue to follow along on our adventures please send me a friend request at Aimee Ferguson Ritz.

We have to give a shout out to Dolly Copp campgrounds in the White Mountains National Forest. This is a wonderful campground that is kept clean, it's not dark and shaded everywhere, and is extremely spacious. No hook ups but if you're in the mood to rough it we highly recommend it

We said goodbye to some incredible new friends. We cannot express our gratitude for their hospitality over the last week. We had a wonderful time touring the Capital building in Agusta, ME, sharing some amazing meals together, famous Giffords ice cream for dessert and enjoying the meaningful conversations we had.

After yesterday's fiasco, we definitely enjoyed our afternoon on the Kennebec River. It's pretty wonderful to know that kindness and hospitality is still alive and well in today's world.

Life on the road is always an adventure. Today's adventure unfortunately included an unexpected stop at a big rig garage due to our alternator going out. After spending the afternoon at the truck yard, we are very blessed to be headed to a new friends property to wait for our new part (hopefully only a few days). God is so good and he always provides. We just met this wonderful couple a week ago and they have been gracious enough to open up their home/property to us. We never know what a new day will bring in this crazy life we live.

We took a little hike up to Bubble Rock this morning and then drove over to the other side of the island to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse in the afternoon. Our time here in Acadia National Park is almost over but we have really enjoyed all of the fantastic hiking and beautiful scenic drives. We highly recommend adding it to your list of places to see and things to do.

You win some and you lose some. After several days of some amazing hikes, we had a not so good hike. We decided to go up the "ladder trail" that peaked at the top of Dorr Mt. at 1,270 feet. The problem was it was straight up the entire way. 80% was stone stairs. We think this is trail should be renamed the stairmaster trail. It did reach a pretty view but the trail we took down was absolutely awful. Glad this one is done!

We are quickly learning Acadia has a wide variety of hikes and endless views.

Today will probably go down as one of our highlights for our visit to Acadia National Park. We started the morning with a hike up to Cadillac Mountain by way of South side. It is probably the most popular hike in the park and I can see why. It had spectacular views almost the entire way.
