A very rainy but very fun weekend for backpacking. This was an excellent test of our gear in wet weather, and I'm happy to say we all stayed (mostly) dry! I'm definitely buying myself an X-Mid for Christmas.

Excellent Fall trip to the Ouachita mountains! The weather was cold and wet but still perfect for backpacking.

Colorado Bend State Park was absolutely beautiful! Even though the river was very low, Gorman Falls and the springs were breathtaking. Great weather and the solar eclipse made for the perfect weekend to be outdoors.

Preparing for backpacking trips takes plenty of work. But I love getting to pack the bags and plan out all the meals and snacks as well!
It's important to have all the essentials when backpacking, and we provide as much or as little as you need for your adventure!

My biggest group yet!! Guided 6 folks through the Buckeye/Caney Creek Loop in Arkansas.
Everyone had a blast, even through the water crossings and freezing nights!

Timberline Trail: the trail that kicked my butt.

Colby and I set off on this adventure not ready for record high temps, washed out trails, and a little bit of impromptu rock climbing! We had to bail out on day 3 as this South Texan wasn't ready for the steep climbs and 104 degree temps at that elevation! However, we learned a lot and still loved every view this breathtaking trail had to offer.
