Well… the old sheds finally gave way last night.
The storm that rolled through took down the sheds Grandpa built here on the farm decades ago. Those old boards and tin roofs had weathered more seasons than most of us can count—wind, snow, heat, and plenty of storms—but they always stood their ground until now.
They weren’t fancy buildings, just hardworking sheds built by a man who believed in doing things right and making them last. And last they did.
Seeing them down this morning is a little bittersweet. Those sheds were part of the farm’s story for a long time.
But that’s the way of a homestead… storms come and go, things change, and the land carries on. We’ll clean it up, remember the memories, and keep moving forward—just like Grandpa would have. 🌾
