Reserving some time away at The Cabin is such a treat! It's a quiet, peaceful place. You can walk to the historic The Granbury Square and have dinner at any one of the fantastic restaurants. Don't know where to go? Stop by the Visit Granbury office. They are open on the weekends and the volunteers all live in Granbury. They know all the great places! You can walk to Visit Granbury from The Cabin Getaway on Lake Granbury!

Put this sandwich on your bucket list! If you stay at the The Cabin Getaway on Lake Granbury you can walk to The OZ restaurant, home of this famous sandwich, on the historic Granbury Square - and no worries about finding a parking place for the car!

It's called (drum roll)...

THE WICKED BLT - (it's an elevated spin on a classic)

1 jalapeno and cheddar bagel (halved)
1 greenhouse tomato (sliced)
1 handful arugula
1 Tablespoon of strawberry habanero jam
3 slices of applewood smoked bacon
1/2 Tablespoon of sriracha aioli
1 goat cheese
1 farm fresh egg
Salt and pepper to taste

Toast the bagel until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Smear the strawberry and habanero jam on the bottom bagel.

Pile the arugula on top of the jam.

Place a slice of tomato on top of the arugula and season with salt and pepper.

Drizzle the sriracha aioli on the tomato.

Cut all three bacon slices in half and place on the tomato.

Top with goat cheese.

Using a small coated saute pan, set the heat to medium and fry your egg over easy.

Add the fried egg on top of the goat cheese and place the other half of the bagel over it and cut in half.

Jenna and I are SO excited to announce that we have found our second BAKED! location down in the ADORABLE town of Glen Rose. We have purchased an old building built in the 50’s and located right off the square. Jeff, my husband and I were down there not quite two months ago and happened to drive by this building and to say that it was love at first sight is an understatement. God had His hand in this deal because it wasn’t even for sale and Tammy decided to sell it to us. We closed a little over a week ago. It needs a lot of work and it’s going to take some time, I’m hoping for a 6 month reno time but I can’t wait for you all to see how amazing this place is and how it’s the perfect place for BAKED! I’ve been a big fan of this charming town for a long time and it’s an excellent move for us. Glen Rose are you ready for us???!! ♥️♥️
