Wondering where to apply for your U.S. passport? Here are the basics:

First-time adult applicants (age 16+): In person at one of the 7,500 passport acceptance facilities using the DS-11 form. Find locations at iafdb.travel.state.gov

Child under age 16: In person at one of the 7,500 passport acceptance facilities with both parents or guardians present (or with a signed consent form). Passport valid for 5 years.

Ages 16-17: In person at one of the 7,500 passport acceptance facilities. Must show that one parent or legal guardian is aware you are applying. Passport valid for 10 years.

Urgent travel within two weeks: In person at one of 27 passport agencies. By appointment only. Must show proof of travel. If you already have a pending application, call 1-877-487-2778.

Adult renewal: By mail or online (IF you meet the requirements). For both mail and online: last passport was issued when you were 16 or older, it is undamaged, has not been reported lost/stolen, and was issued within the last 15 years. For online: Last passport must be expiring within one year or expired less than 5 years ago, not requesting a name change or expedited service.

Hi, all!! Time for another monthly meeting of the Brazos River Travel Club.

As I reported in my last email to you and as we discussed in the meeting last month, we had good interest in the fall trip to Sante Fe/Albuquerque, New Mexico (October 1-7, 2023). Well, it's time now to commit since, as most of you will recall, we need at least thirty for a bus trip. Please note that we will need a deposit check made out to "Go Giver Travel" on Monday. If you are unable to attend the meeting, kindly send a check made out to "Go Giver Travel" to Donna next week (9615 Ravenswood Rd, Granbury, TX 76049). The deposit amount per person is $75 and the entire trip cost is $795 per person. We will discuss this and answer any questions you may have at the meeting.

The results of our survey showed strong interest in a trip to New England, and we have researched that to fall of 2024. The cost of the trip is nearly $1000 more than the advertised 2023 edition of the trip with Collette. No minimum number is needed and of course, we don't have to use Collette. This, too, will be a topic to discuss at our meeting.

The survey also showed Alaska and the Caribbean as the next two most liked destinations. Think about both and let's kick around some ideas. It is likely these trips would be cruises and therefore, just like the New England trip, would not have a minimum requirement.

With airline luggage restrictions it is a must to pack sensibly. My rule when ever possible is to only have one large suitcase and a backpack. That is something I can handle easily. With bags you can handle you cad do self disembarkation from cruise ship which eliminates wait time and finding your bags in a sea of luggage. Self disembark is first off the ship.

It makes sense; if you have limited suitcase space, you can stretch your outfit choices by mixing and matching clothes that are similar shades. Wear

Great packing tips. I roll most of my clothes when packing. It not only saves space but is much easier to pack/unpack or to live out of.
