Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, rejoicing in the hope and promise of the Resurrection.

On Mount Zion in Jerusalem, the Church of the Dormition stands as a reminder of the ancient Christian tradition that Mary completed her earthly life here before being assumed into heavenly glory.

As we remember Mary's faithful "yes" to God, may her life inspire us to trust His plan, walk in humility, and keep our eyes fixed on the hope of eternal life.

May Our Lady of the Assumption pray for us and lead us ever closer to her Son.

Our group prayerfully visited the Mount of Olives, where Jesus taught, prayed, and ascended into heaven, and Ein Karem, the place of the Visitation, where Mary proclaimed her joyful Magnificat.
