One of my favorites is Lincoln Drive Park, a riverside gem where wide‑open lawns meet shady hideaways. And if Mother Nature gets moody, their sheltered picnic tables can be reserved at gfparks.org. Fire up one of the free public grills (BYOB: Bring Your Own Briquettes), stop by L & M Meats, Inc for local brats or burgers and grab fresh buns, sides and desserts at Hugo's Family Marketplace. Once you feast, keep the fun rolling with frisbee golf, horseshoes or volleyball. There’s even a dog park next door if you’re bringing Fido along for the adventure.
