On Saturday, June 20, City Beach in Grand Haven becomes an open-air art gallery unlike any other.

Join us for the 43rd Annual Sand Sculpture Contest and experience these incredible creations up close. Sculptors of all ages and skill levels transform ordinary sand into extraordinary works of art— just add water and a little imagination.

New this year 1) sand pros will create a large-scale exhibition build 2) free park-n-ride from Duneside Discovery Center to City Beach 3) stick around until the end of the event to "storm the castle" (exhibition build only).

From the first carved details to the finished masterpieces, it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and summer on the lakeshore. Be sure to cast a people's choice vote while you are there!

The Grand Haven Farmers Market operates Saturdays 8am-1pm May to October and Wednesdays June to September. Currently located at Chinook Pier, and relocating to Mulligan's Hollow in August.
