For the second year in a row Mother Nature wouldn’t allow us to fish both days of the tournament. (maybe shouldn’t have fished either)

That didn’t stop 21 teams from showing up to fish and raise $945.00 for C.I.D.E.R of South Hero.

The changing winds and temps did slow the bite some but we still had some great bags come to the scale.

I want to thank everyone who made this event happen this year. Brian Labelle for your generous donation and help with the scale. Steven Case for bringing the Little Leaf salad kits. They were great! Shawn White and Chris Lapointe for the use of their weigh in equipment. Windy and Brent for help with the weigh in.

A huge thank you to my wife Melissa for cooking and serving all of the delicious hot soup and yummy sweets to everyone at the weigh in ❤️

We will do it all again next October.

Last Cast Bass Charity Tournament

We have made the sad decision to make this years event a one day shootout and just fish on Sunday. We will be launching out of Apple island.
We will be taking registration until 6:45. We would like all boats in the water by 7 and we will launch shortly after. We will fish until 4:00

Please let us know if you plan to come. We will have hot food at the weigh in and we want to make sure we have enough.

Last Cast Bass Charity tournament update:

We have been watching the weather forecast for this weekend. Saturday is looking to be brutal.
We are leaning towards just fishing Sunday this year.
We have a permit for both John Guillmette and Mallets Bay, so we have the option to use either one.

The plan is to make a final decision on Thursday. This will give everyone time to decide if you want to fish or not. Fingers crossed 🤞 that the forecast is wrong and we get both days in.

The guys really caught them great this week. The Fall chew is on and will only get better.

The lakers were biting for us on Friday. The bite was hot from the first drop to the last with a 11.51. May need to change the name of the business to Last Cast Lakers!

It was another great week of trips. It has been a blast getting to share Champlain with everyone.
I had two trips with 12 year olds (so much fun), a trip with a groom, and also got to fish with a friend that I haven’t shared a boat with in 10 years. I am looking forward to what this week’s trips will bring.
