Crabbing is getting better by the week! Not only with numbers but also with size.

In about 12 hours, we got 45 keepers in theee traps. If you go out, wear some sort of foot protection. We stepped on a BUNCH as we were putting them out.

🐟 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿: All fishing regulations (size, season, limits, gear rules) still apply.

⚠️ 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀: A free Recreational Offshore Landing Permit (ROLP) is still required for species like tuna, snapper, grouper, and cobia. Register here: https://ldwf.wlf.la.gov/rolp/login

The family had a great Memorial Day weekend at the camp. We were able to introduce another family to the Cajun Bahamas, and they can’t wait to come back. Lots of fun and quality family time! Even with the rough surf, we were able to get our fill of crabs two days in a row. Crabbing will only get better for the next four months.

We have this upcoming weekend available if anyone want to come down, but then, we’re booked every weekend until the Tarpon Rodeo.

It’s that time of year when the crabs are crazy thick on the beach from fourchon to Elmer’s to Grand Isle. Go early or late bc it gets HOT in the middle of the day. We got these in less than 3 hours over the weekend on Grand Isle with a couple of nets and lines.

Good news!!!

Hey Anglers! Reminder that Red Snapper season has reopened today as a weekends-only season. The season will continue with a daily bag limit of four fish per person and a 16-inch total minimum length limit. More progress! We’re still several months away from completion but everything is shaping up to be back in action in the fall!
