There is always an exciting adventure awaiting in Moab. This canyon hike is one of my ultimate favorites. It’s perfect for the hot summer months as you are basically following a riverbed and crossing the river all along the route. You get to cool off along the way, and when you reach the waterfall, the mist off the falls is very refreshing. You will complete at least 50 river crossings during this hike so be sure to bring some comfortable water shoes or waterproof shoes (they will probably get wet anyway). This is a very pretty waterfall, and the boulder that seems to be perfectly stuck in the middle of the falls really makes it unique. I love the red rock canyon walls. They make for great pictures. The changing colors in the fall really stand out with the red colored surroundings that are so typical of the Moab area . This is a MUST if you are in Moab. Come get wet with Red Laces Gal and experience the finest Moab has to offer!

Hanging Lake is one of the most iconic places to visit in Colorado. At 3.1 miles out and back this hike can be a bit strenuous especially if you are not used to the altitude. It isn’t terrible and there are plenty of rest spots along the route. Just give yourself plenty of time as there are some steep areas up the hill. The lake itself is magical. There are wonderful views from every angle and the pictures here will last you a lifetime! Make sure you go a little further up to Spouting Rock - a beautiful waterfall to see. I highly recommend going to see Hanging Lake at different times of the year as it completely changes with the seasons. Permits need to obtained in advance and you should allow plenty of time for this in the summer time especially. Contact me to help co-ordinate and lead a special day out exploring this beautiful Colorado gem!

Dominquez Canyon hike packs a lot in one go and is spectacular. You will see two waterfalls, various petroglyphs, and unique rock hideouts/dwellings. The topography is beautiful and the landscape always makes me want to take loads of pictures. You might also be blessed with sheep sightings and this is especially special when they have young ones. You could watch them for hours on the cliff ledges. You can really decide how many miles you would like to do on this hike as an out and back. I normally do about 10 – 12 miles depending on weather and ability, but even if you did 5, you would get a lot out of the experience. The hike is relatively level for the majority of the way with only a handful of inclines. The color changes in fall are beautiful. What are you waiting for…Book your guided hike now!

Winter in Grand Juction Colorado is the perfect time to explore McInnis Canyon National Conservation Area near Fruita. One of the top hikes to do is in Devils Canyon. This hike gives you a relatively good workout, and you are rewarded with beautiful vistas throughout. One of the highlights on this hike is an old cowboy cabin full of old relics. This cabin was built by cowboys who used to run cattle in the area and marks the halfway point of the 7-mile hike. It's a fun place to explore, but please do not take any of the items that are present in the cabin. The unique topography of the area is something you will treasure and remember for a very long time. Stagecoach is one of two flagged viewpoints on the Boocliff range. This hike has incredible views over Mt Garfield, The Grand Mesa and the Grand Valley. This hike is particularly beautiful in the Fall time when you can enjoy the colour changes down below in Palisade. I also think this would be an amazing sunrise/sunset hike. At just over 6 miles this hike is a good workout with rewarding views. It's a genuine gem. Bring your fury four legged friend along and make some lasting memories on this lovely trail. End the day off with a wine tasting session (or few 🍷🧀🍷) in Palisade. If you are interested in this hike, contact me to set up an adventure!
