Each day leading up to the 44th Annual Suncook Valley Rotary Hot Air Balloon Rally, we'll introduce you to one of the incredible pilots and beautiful balloons that will be joining us in Pittsfield.

Keith Kohtz of Wayland, MI has been flying balloons for two decades and has built a life full of loyalty — to his employer, his wife of 32+ years, and his family. His son Landon is also flying this weekend, while several other family members help crew balloons throughout the season.

Keep an eye out for Terry Mouse in the sky— and look for the other Kohtz balloon too! 🎈

Al Smith's love of hot air ballooning started more than 30 years ago crewing with a local pilot — and it never stopped. He earned his private and commercial certificates, became Balloonmeister of the Hot Air Jubilee in Jackson for many years, and has attended the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta for the past 23 years.

One of his most memorable flights? A crossing of Little Traverse Bay with spectacular views of Lake Michigan. 🌊🎈
