📣 HIRING AT LAKE OF THE OZARKS
Vacation Rental Turnover Specialist
Vacation Boutique is growing, and we’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to help care for our vacation rentals around the Lake of the Ozarks.
This is MORE than a cleaning job.
We’re looking for someone who can walk into a property after guests leave and take ownership of getting it completely guest-ready for the next arrival.
That means cleaning, yes — but also noticing the things other people miss.
👀 Is something broken or missing?
🛏️ Does the property look staged and inviting?
🔥 Is the fire pit area ready?
🍔 Is the grill clean and usable?
🕸️ Are there cobwebs on the deck or around the entrance?
🐾 Is there pet hair hiding under the sofa cushions?
💡 Are lights, remotes and basic amenities working?
🚤 Are kayaks, dock areas or outdoor amenities where they belong?
🧺 Are linens, towels and supplies properly stocked?
We manage condos, cabins and lake homes, so every property is a little different. Some turnovers include outdoor spaces, docks, grills, fire pits, hot tubs and other guest amenities.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Someone who is:
• Extremely dependable — our guests are arriving whether we’re ready or not
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Comfortable using an app during turnovers for property-specific checklists, progress updates and required photos
• Willing to communicate when something doesn’t look right instead of simply cleaning around it
• Physically able to make bunk beds/top bunks, use a step stool or ladder, work in smaller cabin bathrooms and handle the physical demands of turnovers
• Comfortable working in pet-friendly properties and tackling pet hair when needed
• Available for daytime turnovers between guest checkout and check-in
• Willing to travel between properties around the Lake area
• Reliable transportation required
COMPENSATION
💰 This is 1099 independent contractor work and is paid by the property/turnover — not by the hour.
Depending on the property and how efficiently the turnover is completed, our project rates are generally designed to work out to approximately $35–$45/hour.
Smaller cabins may be around a two-hour project, while our larger homes have considerably higher turnover rates and longer completion windows. Certain properties or responsibilities, such as hot tub service, also receive additional compensation.
We provide detailed property-specific standards and checklists so you know exactly what “guest-ready” means at each home.
📸 Our property-management system is used throughout the turnover to document progress, completed tasks and required photos. This also allows our operations team to see when a turnover has begun, how it’s progressing and when the property is ready for the next guest.
THE BIGGEST THING:
We don’t need someone who just wants to “clean houses.”
We want someone who can become an important part of our local operations team — someone who takes pride in walking out the door knowing:
“I would be happy to check into this property right now.”
