Edited to update:

After being on the phone with Square for almost an hour and half) the agent instructed me to use my desktop or laptop (which I had done before) but it still shows it has already been refunded, therefore the CSA couldn’t figure out what to do so he told me to refund everyone with a bank check.

I have included pictures of the conference call that took place this morning as well as what I got when I tried my desktop computer. (Cameron is the Former owner and Square’s number is 855-700-6000.)

I am on my way to the bank where the business account is to have them print checks so that I can refund everyone that way.

I will be sending all mail certified. So if you have moved or used something other than your mailing address when you originally purchased your seat, please message me directly with that information.

I’m taking tomorrow morning off from work to go to the bank to see what my options are since Square still hasn’t processed any of the refunds and won’t let me cancel the refunds so I can refund them again!

If all else fails, I will get checks from the bank and refund everyone that way. I will update everyone as soon as I can in the morning.

Update:

On Saturday, 1/13, I went to the bank. I learned that my account is still good but that since Square is the payment processor for the business. (When someone makes a purchase square processes the payment and tells it where to go.)

Since Square is the payment processor, it looked at my account and determined that x amount of dollars has to be there BEFORE they will begin refunding anyone.

While I have enough money to cover, I am still short! The banks (my personal bank and the business account bank) will not give me a loan since it requires a company to be in Business for at least 3 years. (Sublime was started in 2021 off of FunTimes, 2018) but I took over in May/June 2023.

I am in the process of taking out a loan to ensure eveyone’s money is returned. Trust me- no one wants to have all of this resolved more than me.

First and foremost I am doing my best to get all refunds to you.

I called my bank again today to make sure my account was good! It is.

After work (5 pm) I checked my personal email account. I had an email from Square informing me that there had been a disconnect between them and my bank.

I tried to work through the process that Square suggested (payment of all the money) and my card has a set limit so the large amount will not go through without me calling my bank and letting them know to whom and what amount I need the limit set to. I will do that first thing tomorrow (Thursday).

I do work a full time job, have bills of my own and absolutely understand the frustration.

I have only responded to direct messages and will continue to do so.

Also be aware- if you chose to dispute to Square, which you have the opportunity to do, the wait may be even longer. This screenshot is information I received after responding (to send money to the customer) from a dispute. I was not aware that it would draw the process out even more.

The issue involving Square has been resolved. Their statement was that it is now between the financial institutions. (We are not the only ones having this issue)

I realize that this may seem suspicious however I have refunded everyone and am now just waiting with you.

Since the charter bus company has refused to refund any money, I have had to secure my own personal money to make sure you are paid! Trust me I have bills to pay as well but am doing everything possible to get it back to you asap. This is not to garner sympathy only to let you know that everyone has been refunded and will receive their seat ticket money.

The unforeseen Technical issue has been resolved. Refunds already sent can not be stopped.
According to the company Square…It MAY take a few more days to process back to your account.

We are currently working to resolve the issue with the refunds. Our bank was contacted and noted the problem is with Square. We are now working with them to ensure that refunds are processed as soon as possible.
