mmercialized” area like some of the neighboring areas, they were able to secure and maintain what is now beautiful state parks and pristine beaches. In addition to the unparalleled natural beauty of Scenic 30A, we also pride ourselves in the pleasure of our diverse architectural beauty. South Walton is one of just a few locations in the world, alongside Oregon, Australia, New Zealand, and Madagascar, that are lucky enough to boast the unusual natural wonders of coastal dune lakes. Off of the beaches in select areas, the South Walton Artificial Reef Association has begun installing artificial reefs in the shapes of a marine mammals along the coastline to provide habitat for marine life and to facilitate snorkeling and sight seeing. You can experience snorkeling the reefs by paddle board or kayak with one of our guides.
