Happy February! You are probably in the process of preparing your taxes. I trust my email from last month was helpful in going to our website to access your tax information. You can use that same website, www.sfitrucks.com to access your Managed Maintenance Account (MMA) balances and activity. I am reminding you about this because our most successful clients monitor their managed maintenance accounts regularly on our website. If you don’t remember your login and password, contact me and I can help.

Please see the attached document for an example of the information you can obtain about your account. To ensure you are maintaining a positive balance in your account and that all charges are accurate, you will want to review your MMA on a regular basis. As a reminder, if you are on the Paccar system and using an out- of- network shop, you will see a $25.00 charge from Paccar on your account. If you see any inaccuracies, contact me and we will work together to resolve.

The website also displays your current insurance value found in the Lease Snapshot view. Please remember to call INS to update your insurance value every four to six months to ensure you are paying the lowest premium possible.

Our website and the Schneider Choice Load Board (if you are on Schneider’s Choice program) are not compatible with smart phones or tablets, so please use a laptop to ensure you are getting the best performance out of these programs.

My last reminder is about communication. Email is always the best way to reach me. In the event that you would like to call me, please be sure you are dialing directly at 920-592-2452. If you are not dialing me directly and you use our 800 number, it will increase your hold time. I want to service your business needs in the best way possible and emailing me, or a direct call to my phone will help that. If you call and I am not at my desk to answer your call immediately, please leave one voicemail and I will be sure to get back to you. Thank you!

Communication Expresses written and verbal information clearly, concisely and in a professional manner. Listens actively and is open to two-way conversations.

I hope you all had good holidays and a great New Year! Let’s hope that 2014 is the best yet.

I know a lot of you contacted me and put extra funds towards your account to save up a credit towards the end of Dec and New Years. I really appreciate it and I know a lot of you did too, doing so took a lot of stress off of you in the long run. Some of you have even chosen to continue that. (Yay!)

I am reaching out to all of you to give you that option as well. Would you like to put extra funds towards your Schneider Finance payment each week to build up a credit for planned and/or unplanned downtime?

Any time your payment to SFI is not paid in full and your account is past due you accumulate late fees. Having a credit built up will not only save you some stress but also saves you some money! You will not be accumulating as much or possibly anything at all in late fees.
Please send me an email back or give me a call letting me know the amount you want to contribute and for how long. You can have it any amount and any length of time that you desire. Examples : Many people say they want to do an extra $50/wk until they say stop. I have a few people doing $150/wk for the remainder of their lease because not only does that help build a credit, reduce late fees, but also can help reduce your residual once you get to that point.

Looking for some extra cash to bring in towards the holidays???
$$$ Referrals $$$ Referrals $$$ Referrals $$$
Those that you are talking to make sure you are passing along your name and your SFI Lease Rep’s name.
That is going to mean extra money in your pocket if they get approved and EVEN MORE money in your pocket if they are NEW TO SNI and GET A TRUCK WITH SFI.
Even if their 90 day mark is after the holidays, that is a great time to help build all your accounts back up after the holiday spending, downtime, and any freight changes you may experience.

**Please check your email for a new message from me**

NOW is the time to plan and prepare for all the things that happen toward the end of the year, beginning of next year! Bad weather, holiday time off, truck repairs, holiday spending, lower shipping rates, just to mention a few!

We can set up a payment plan now that will allow you to build up a credit so you can “skip” a payment for planned time off or unexpected short revenue weeks.

We have NINE paydays left before the end of year.
I can plan to set up an 8 week schedule to take 1/8th of a payment extra to allow you one skip week at the end of year.

IF you plan on taking time off, prepare NOW.
You will only be able to zero out a week if you have a credit build up in your account.

I will confirm your email and let you know how much extra will come out.

Samples of how this will calculate:

Payment amount amount added for 8 wks.

$900 $112.50
$850 $106.25
$820 $102.50
$800 $100

SETTING THIS UP WILL EASE A LOT OF STRESS THIS WINTER.
Plan ahead for you, your business, and your famly.

I will be traveling for work the remainder of this week. I will be heading down to Dallas for the Great American Truck Show. If you are planning on being at the Truck Show, please stop and say hi!!!! Jeff and myself will be down there from SFI. If you aren't going to be there...take care and be safe!!!

SFI payments for week of 8/2: A copy of the satellite message you will be receiving Attention Contractor with SFI tractor payment deduction,
In this week’s settlement, the SFI Tractor Payment was not deducted, but will be next week along with next week’s target. SFI is aware of the issue and will not assess late fees as a result of this issue.
If you would like to avoid having two payments next week, please contact your SFI Client Relationship Manager to arrange a check by phone payment for this week from your direct deposit account. We recognize this is a major inconvenience and we sincerely apologize.
All Contractors, as communicated earlier, the general fund distribution with new functionality happens next week. The funds will be in next week’s settlement.

Please contact me via email if at all possible if you would like me to do an ACH payment instead of 2 payments being pulled next week. Thank you!
Patty

SFI learned this morning there was an error with the settlements for week of 8/2. NO SFI truck or maintenance payment pulled for the week of 8/2. We have been made aware. SFI is working with IT to find out what happened. Once we learn more and know how we are going to resolve this issue further updates will be made. At this time please do not contact SFI regarding this issue, we know of the problem and are working on it. Due to the issue, please be aware the phone volume may be higher than normal if you call in.

We are sorry for this inconvenience and hopefully this will be resolved quickly for everyone.
Thank you for your patience in the matter.
Patty

Just a reminder, if it has been 6 months since you last contacted insurance to lower your rates, or if you have now been in your lease 4-6 months, you will want to contact insurance with your insured value. You can find that on www.sfitrucks.com under the lease snapshot link. Everyone wants to save money where they can right? If you want to move the savings over to your MMA or to help build a credit towards your truck let me know and I can help you with that.

As you may have all been seeing, I have a list of all my accounts, I have been contacting each via email regarding any past due issues, late fee balances, or MMA contributions that are out of whack with the matrix. Hoping staying on top of MMA contributions will help you stay out of the negative, or if you are in the negative, help you get out faster. Thanks to all of those that have already responded!!

This is the solution we have been given to make up the Maintenance portion that was not collected for on 11/30 towards your account.

Weeks 12/14 and 12/21 will be affected. SFI knows that it is holiday time and of course, as always, people want as much funds home as possible.
SFI is requesting this payment in 2 installments. 150% of your BASE maintenance contribution will be collected on 12/14 & 12/21.
BASE amount (if you are on a payment plan that is going to be overridden and will be based off your NORMAL amount)
Example : You typically pay $150 towards your MMA each week those 2 weeks it will be $150 + $75 for a total of $225.00

I am very sorry for the inconvenience and that this happened, also that there was a bit of a delay getting the “solution” out to all of you.
Management had been working on this to figure out the best way to get it resolved.
Thanks for all of your understanding.
I hope you all have had a great year, happy holidays, and here is to a great year ahead of us!!!
