Is it real life modern day Paris?

Or is it the 1920s Parisian Wizarding streets from Fantastic Beasts, as depicted in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic - at Universal Orlando Epic Universe??

These are a mix of each - can you tell
which are France and which are Florida? Comment your guesses - some might be easier than others 😉

We visited Paris exactly a year to the date from our visit to Epic Universe. And I caught myself several times thinking “wow - Universal really nailed it!”.

They are the best of the best when it comes to detail and immersion!

You know Disney Cruise Line is one of my favorite vacations. You can travel just about anywhere, and still come “home” each night to the warm/cozy/nostalgia that only Disney can offer.

We are just back from a trip to Paris that included a bucket-list visit to

Disneyland Paris!!

This is actually two parks -

Disneyland Paris with classic favorites from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park and Disneyland Park - with exciting changes and twists to make them exclusive to Disneyland Paris. For example, It’s a Small World has an America section (and it’s adorable!). Phantom
Manor (their spin on Haunted Mansion) has a haunted saloon vibe, and Space Mountain is “Hyperspace” (sooo much faster than in FL) with Star Wars elements.

Disney Adventure World is a brand new park with such favorites as Tower of Terror (and their spin on it is my absolute favorite of all their spins!), Frozen, Ratatouille, Tangled, Marvel, Toy Story and more!

My favorite thing was the castle in Disneyland Paris. The most beautiful of the three I’ve seen (even under minor construction), and it’s an attraction itself with an explorable interior and a dragon you can visit underneath.

And… there is Champagne! Real champagne. And it’s good!! 20 Euros gets you a full pour in a souvenir flute. You walk down Main Street and sip it and this is when you’ve reached peak Disney Adult status 🥂😁

🚗 Piston Peak is coming to Magic Kingdom! The new Cars-inspired expansion will bring guests into a larger-than-life world inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ Cars, complete with new attractions and immersive storytelling.

🦹‍♀️ Villains Land just got even more wicked! New details were shared about this massive expansion, which will feature two major attractions, dining, shopping and immersive environments inspired by some of Disney’s most iconic villains. The land will be comparable in scale and immersion to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

🌎 Exciting updates were revealed for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Including new details about the upcoming Encanto attraction, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, and plans to bring the legendary Expedition Everest Yeti back to life.

👾 Monstropolis continues to take shape Fans got a new look at the highly anticipated Monsters, Inc.-inspired expansion with the land including Harryhausen’s restaurant and the “Welcome to Monstropolis” show opening in 2027! The door coaster attraction will open in a second phase at a later date.

💜 Dreamfinder is returning to EPCOT! One of the loudest cheers of the night came when Disney announced Dreamfinder will return alongside Figment in a reimagined Journey Into Imagination attraction.

🎠 Carousel of Progress is getting an update as the beloved Disney classic will receive new scenes and storytelling elements while honoring its iconic legacy when it opens in late spring 2027.

From villains and talking cars to imagination, adventure and beloved Disney stories, the future has never looked brighter at Walt Disney World Resort!

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando!

This has such a cult following. A loyal community who plans their whole year around it. I never really understood the hype - until I attended myself!

If you have teens and/or adults who love haunted houses, horror and pop culture, you need to attend this. It’s immersive, creative, and soo much fun. Can’t stop laughing but also can’t stop screaming.

As per usual, all the themed houses haven’t been announced yet, but the ones we have so far:

🔥 Evil Dead Burn
🗡️ Hellraiser
🚲 Stranger Things
🤠 Sinners

There are 10 total! Plus walk-through Scare Zones, live shows, themed snacks, and some attractions open.

HHN can be a day by itself, or can be added to a full universal package with hotel and admission to any combo of the 4 Universal Orlando parks.

Planning it out takes some strategy - this is a popular and busy event!

I’m really amazed at how much ✨DISCOUNTED✨ package availability is available over Christmas Break.
