Just got off the Norwegian Gem yesterday and have to say that we loved this ship and NCL!
We enjoyed the shows/entertainment, the food was really good (you can get room service the morning you return!), the staff were all very friendly and helpful, embarkation and disembarkation were both easy, the ship is older but very clean, they had a nice military appreciation/recognition get together, thought it was a little strange that we never met the cabin steward though.
The stuff that needs work~there weren’t any comedy shows, the app needs a major overhaul and needs to include the daily schedule for the entire duration of the cruise so you plan your days out better, and they need to have a separate smoking area in the casino or make it completely non-smoking.
We went to Nassau and enjoyed the day with friends at the Atlantis, missed Great Stirrup Cay due to the weather not cooperating for the tenders, went to Freeport and walked around the shops at the port, and had another day at sea.
Big news~Todd won the slot tournament!!
We will be sailing next year so he can play in the big tournament!
