The sturgeon spawn in Princeton, Wisconsin is one of those really unique, almost surreal spring events… Every spring, lake sturgeon (huge, prehistoric-looking fish!) swim up the Fox River from Lake Winnebago to spawn.

Popular viewing spots:
• Behind businesses along West Water Street
• Megow Park

Important rules
• You cannot touch or catch them (they’re protected)
• Stay respectful of riverbanks and private property
• There are often DNR crews tagging and studying fish (also cool to watch!)
