Utqiagvik, Alaska, again proved fantastic for nesting shorebirds with phalaropes on every pond, displaying Pectoral Sandpipers, lots of Western and Semipalmated sandpipers singing, and even the scarcer White-rumped Sandpiper showed well. We also had a nice run of rarer visitors in the form of Temminck's Stint, a displaying Ruff, and a surprise Wood Sandpiper.

Our Dutch Harbor, Alaska Tour was simply phenomenal with great weather, delicious local seafood, tons of fun birds and wildflowers on land, plus the exciting 10-hour pelagic, where we saw hundreds of Whiskered Auklets, and 10 other species of alcids alongside many Laysan and Black-footed Albatross. Again, Dutch Harbor proved a great alternative to the unreliable Pribilofs for Red-legged Kittiwakes, with a dozen birds seen exceptionally well! Join us next year.
