Early this week on Tuesday, October 27th, we celebrated Zero Waste Day in Tennessee!

In celebration of Zero Waste Day 2026, TDEC partnered with local organizations and small businesses to host Zero Waste Webinars, Giveaways, and Take-back days that were designed to educate citizens on the basics of zero waste and review local resources available to help citizens reduce waste in their everyday lives.

Zero Waste Day reminds us to use the 5 R's: Re‑Think, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Re‑Earth.
