As a historical walking tour, we are honored to share with you the stories and landmarks of what labor built in our community. Did you know that the first Labor Day parade was held in New York City in 1882, organized by the Central Labor Union?

Every Monday night this summer, Mitchell Park has hosted Dancing in the Park, which features live music and dancing for all ages. It's free to the public, and tonight is the last night of the summer! We hope you can join in on the fun from 7:30-9:30 tonight, and we can't wait for next summer!

Named one of "the most Instagrammable spots on the North Fork" by Northforker in 2021, a total of 67 steps lead down from the end of Sound Road in Greenport to the eponymous 67 Steps Beach.

Legend has it that this beach played a role in rum-running during prohibition, though there isn't enough historical evidence for us to confidently say to what extent this is true.

Orient Beach State Park was created in 1929, and this postcard of the beach is circa 1930-1945. In 1980, Orient Beach State Park was designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service.
