Meet the Space Wanderer!
Weighing in at a whopping 1,000 lbs, this cosmic heavyweight is a Brenham Pallasite Meteorite—and it crash-landed right here in Kiowa County!

Discovered in 1949 between Greensburg and Haviland, the Space Wanderer held the title of largest pallasite ever found... until 2005, when another celestial chunk nearly 1,200 lbs was unearthed just miles away.

✨ That’s TWO of the world’s largest pallasite meteorites, both found in our corner of Kansas!

Swing by the Big Well Museum to get up close with a real piece of outer space. It's literally out of this world.
